Aiken Earth Day
Saturday, April 20, 2019 Walk in the Woods Back by popular demand, there will be two Walk-in-the-Woods opportunities during Earth Day Aiken. One at 8:45am and the other at 10:30am. Festival of the Woods Family Day
The Festival of the Woods Family Day is the community coming together to celebrate the cultural and natural resources of Hitchcock Woods. This free event will include learning stations for everyone to learn about our accomplishments and priorities of the Hitchcock Woods. Subject Matter Experts will be on-hand to answer your questions. Blessing of the Hounds
The annual Blessing of the Hounds immediately precedes Aiken Hounds’ formal Opening Meet. The Blessing is held on Thanksgiving Day at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Gate in the Woods. This traditional ceremony and beloved tradition lasts about 30 minutes and the public is welcome. There is no parking at the South Boundary entrance, but attendees may park downtown.
