National Take a Hike Day

Please note that registration is required and carpooling is highly encouraged. If you register and are no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration through Eventbrite or contact hlevy@hitchcockwoods.org.

Join HWF for a guided outing to celebrate National Take a Hike Day! We will enter at the Stable on the Woods entrance (263 Rubins Cottage Lane) and hike ~2.5 miles, taking plenty of breaks to observe plants and wildlife – note that the trails here are sandy and hilly. There are no public restrooms or places to refill a water bottle, so please plan accordingly.

About Hitchcock Woods: Hitchcock Woods, nestled in the heart of Aiken, South Carolina, is the largest urban forest in the United States at 2,100 acres. Open daily from sunrise to sunset, its 70 miles of trails offer a haven to the public on foot and horseback.
